When creditors obtain County Court Judgments for debts over £600 that are not regulated by the Consumer Credit Act, they can ask Marston to help them get a Writ of Control.
Upon obtaining the Writ, Marston generates contact with the customer and, should they not be in a position to pay, takes account of their specific circumstances so that clients are in the best possible position to secure their debt.
A Writ of Control gives enforcement agents certain powers to visit a property including the use of a locksmith to gain entry in commercial cases. Debts can be protected by taking control of customer goods and, in exceptional circumstances, remove them to sell at public auction.
