If you have a Judgment from a Country outside of the Jurisdiction of England and Wales but where the Debtor resides in England and Wales then we can assist you.

If you have a European Enforcement Order (EEO) then we can assist you by arranging for that to be registered at the High Court so that it has the same effect as an English Judgment. Once it has been registered at the High Court we can then apply for a Writ of Control against the Debtor straight away. Please note that in order to enforce using an EEO the claim must have been uncontested in the first instance.

If you have a foreign judgment from outside of the European Union but where England and Wales share a reciprocal treaty with that Country then we will be able to make an application to the High Court on your behalf to register the judgment here. This is called a Registration Order

When the Court make a Registration Order that order will need to be served and allows the Defendant a period of one month and 15 days to apply to the Court to set it aside. If the Debtor fails to make an application then we can apply to issue a Writ of Control against the Debtor.

The time frame for applying for a registration order Is usually about 3-4 weeks but this can vary. Please remember that the registration order will need to be served (which we can arrange for you) and then the The debtor has 1 month and 15 days to appeal. Once a registration order has been made we can manage and monitor this process for you.
