We provide frontline, back office and customer support services to design and manage places used by the public and provide national enforcement expertise at our borders and infrastructure.
Protecting our environment
Our environmental and anti-social enforcement teams work with council clients to reduce the incidence of littering, fly posting and tipping, idling vehicles and dog fouling. Equipped with body cameras, they have secured 81% payment of fixed penalty notices. On-street ambassadors and enforcement officers are supported by mobile CCTV and control room experts and make a measurable difference to the communities in which they operate.
On the road
To promote safety and the correct operation of the road network, we also use fixed and mobile CCTV along with foot patrols to provide effective enforcement against moving traffic offences. NSL has also been the DVLA’s enforcement partner since 2013, helping to improve Vehicle Excise Duty compliance nationwide. Each year, we identify over 250,000 untaxed vehicles for prosecution action, of which around 80,000 are subsequently immobilised and 50,000 are impounded.
We have over a decade’s experience of notice processing and work with local authorities of all sizes to develop and deliver bespoke solutions that integrate with existing systems. NSL now leads the way in multi-channel operations that provide sleeker, streamlined processing and performance is closely monitored to ensure the highest levels of customer experience.
Right to Work checks
With direct links to the Home Office, Police Service and fraud agencies, we also help large public and private sector organisations as well as smaller commercial enterprise to minimise risk and ensure compliance with ever-changing Right to Work legislation and identity check regulations. We provide a range of identity checking, document verification and background screening services.
NSL has the personnel and infrastructure to help local authority clients to ensure that all vehicles used by the public are fit for purpose. Our services include operator licensing, DVLA checks, vehicle safety checks, driver authentication, meter tests, replacement badges and plates. We also provide online vehicle inspection booking systems and a streamlined back office permit centre to issue licenses.
Our opening hours are 8 AM to 8 PM Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM on Saturdays.
